Preface: The reason I purchased the UT-72G GMRS Magnet Mount is because I already own the Nagoya UT-72 HAM Magnet Mount and was highly satisfied with the SWR match and performance on the 2M/440 HAM bands. I recently got into GMRS and needed something that was tuned more for that band.The Midland edged the Nagoya on the simplex channels with 1.01 SWR and the Nagoya was showing 1.7 - 1.8 when transmitting on the simplex channels, both the low and high power. The Nagoya numbers are still acceptable although a bit higher than advertised numbers of <1.5 across the GMRS range. Midland wins this round. Midland wins this round.
